The features of the tool walls and accessories for Fami benches
The accessories for Fami workbenches are designed to increase the functionality and improve the organisation of all the work material.
Perforated panels, shutter cabinets and wall units with lift-up opening systems expand the storage space and can be used on the wall or directly on the workbench using the special uprights. Ergo Work swivel arms are additional components that can be used for this purpose; these frames can be customised with perforated panels, containers and trays, offering ergonomic and flexible solutions.
All the tools and work equipment are fastened in place and arranged using the handy universal Unipok hooks, The Block hooks with tips, 5S Pikpad tool tray and Iron Team accessories.
All the different accessory solutions for the workbenches have been designed to be easy and effective to use. Their unique fastening system means they are easy to install in various points of the work area, offering freedom to change their position as requirements change. For example, accessories and hooks can be reorganised on the tool wall using a fastening system with screws and bolts in the square holes.
Wall units and cabinets previously installed on the perforated workbench can be mounted on the wall, freeing up space directly on the workstation for the installation of other components and accessories.
How to organise a workbench
A well-organised workbench is essential for any artisan, professional or DIY enthusiast. The right accessories and components can make a big difference in terms of efficiency and productivity because they help to cut down the time it takes to look for material and the risk of injuries. Tool panels with 10×10 mm square holes, wall cabinets with lift-up or shutter openings and Ergo Work swivel arms expand the storage area and clear space on the worktop. Iron Team accessories, and Unipok and The Block hooks can be freely arranged on the tool wall or perforated side panels for the tidy and rational organisation of your most frequently used equipment, while it is possible to create ready-to-use tools kits with the 5S Pikpad tool tray. Clamps, on the other hand, are an irreplaceable tool for all those precision jobs such as threading, sawing and milling, and can be installed directly on the worktop, or, for some benches, in the special cabinet with a pull-down opening system. Lastly, it is important not to neglect workers’ welfare: adding an adjustable seat to the workbench ensures a comfortable position for the operator and helps to prevent any possible injuries.
