Reducing the company’s environmental impact on the territory

In 2018, Fami embarked on a process that led to the attainment of the ISO 14001:2015 certification issued by SMC. Companies possessing this certification can claim to operate on the basis of a company management system that monitors their environmental impact. Moreover, it underlines their constant effort to improve their activities in an effective and sustainable way. This type of certification requires the completion of an environmental analysis in terms of:

Emissions;
Use of resources;
Reduction of wastages;
Waste management.

We have decided to create a company policy to govern the industrial waste management system, identify waste correctly through the EWC Code, contained in (Italian) Legislative Decree 152/06, and monitor energy resources.
Besides the ISO 14001:2015 standard, Fami undertakes its activities through the AUA, Autorizzazione Unica Ambientale (Integrated Environmental Authorisation) envisaged in (Italian) Presidential Decree no. 59 of 13 March 2013.

For over one decade, Fami has possessed the ISO 9001:2015 certification, the reference standard recognised internationally for the quality management of any organisation that intends addressing the following issues simultaneously:
– the need to enhance the efficacy and efficiency of internal processes, as an organisation tool for attaining the planned objectives;
– the growing competitiveness on the markets through the improvement of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
